Our client, a Fintech, and a subsidiary of an International Holding Company, has more than 10,000 employees across its over 30 country operations and majorly works with government departments and agencies to bring about multifaceted transformation seeking to hire an expert in Regulatory Risk and Compliance Secondment with the below specs.. please read the requirements carefully and apply with all requested documents including the Questionnaire provided at the end - we prefer completed applications received via email.

Skills Required     : Regulatory Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit, Policy & procedures, Process Compliance.

Qualifications       : CIA, ACCA, CA, CFA, MBA, Bachelors / Master’s in Accounting.

Experience           : Min 3 to 6 years, of Regulatory Risk Management experience in the UAE, is mandatory.

Travel                   : Must be flexible to travel to Kenya for short visits

Contract Duration : 3-6 months (extendable)

Compensation       : AED 32K start—possibility of increase up to AED 36K-40K - If contract extended beyond 6 months.

Nature of Job:

This entails supporting the Group for – Governance, Risk and Compliance in designing, implementing and continually improving the Regulatory Compliance and Governance Frameworks. The role holder will manage and execute the compliance programs, support the functions and assets on compliance and governance matters and lead independent compliance reviews and investigations. The role holder may also conduct business process mapping and related process analysis and assist the departments and assets to develop and review policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Policy and Authority Matrix Development:  Creating and maintaining policies and procedures and Delegation of Authorities (DoA) that govern risk management and compliance across the organization. This may include policies related to data protection, anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, and more.

Process Gap Analysis Risk Identification: Identifying and evaluating current process gaps and potential risks that could impact the holding company and its subsidiaries. This involves conducting process gap analysis, risk assessments, and vulnerability identification.

Bank Mandate:  They play a role in preparing and checking compliance with the approved Banking limits.

Monitoring and Reporting:  Continuously monitoring compliance efforts and risk management activities, reporting to executive leadership and the Group, and providing insights for improvement. Develop and maintain a Compliance register to track and manage compliance with policies, regulations and DoA.
Monitoring and Assessing Compliance: The team is responsible for regularly monitoring and assessing the company's operations to identify areas where compliance with policies, Delegation of Authority and regulations may be at risk. They analyze policies, processes, and procedures to ensure they align with applicable requirements.

Closing of open audit observations:  The Compliance team assists and helps the team to close the gaps as may be highlighted by the Auditors from time to time.

Responding to Incidents:  In case of compliance violations or incidents, the Compliance team investigates and takes appropriate corrective actions. They may work with other departments like Legal and HR to handle such situations.

Reporting and Communication:  The team communicates compliance-related information to senior management and the Holding Company.

Others:  Any other task as may be assigned by the Group Risk & Compliance from time to time.
